I have always had trouble putting on the pounds. So I am always up for trying a new weight gainer. Pro Complex Gainer comes in a variety of flavors and I tried my favorite (chocolate). I have to say after trying a lot of either too bland or too sweet supplements, this was really delicious.

The next thing that usually disappoints me with weight gainers is the texture. Personally I use and electric hand mixer that is one of the best investments that I have ever made. But for the purpose of reviews I always try mixing with a spoon and also by shaking. It did pretty well with both. If you can handle minimal chunk then this gainer would work for you just fine.

Be assured that Optimum Nutrition always uses quality ingredients, but as with any of their products, it is a little pricey. Overall one of the best tasting weight gainers that I have ever tried and if you are looking for a great tasting, high quality weight gainer, then I highly recommend Pro Complex Gainer by Optimum Nutrition. With any weight gainer I suggest using only half of a serving for a while until you work yourself up. This will avoid getting too full and eating less real food as that would be counter productive.

In my search for more pre-workout supplements I recently came across Twinlab Amino Fuel Liquid. I was looking for an amino acids supplement that was cost effective, easily digestible, and would give me some energy for my workout. This delivered on all three.

For once it was nice to see a relatively inexpensive supplement that actually did what it claims. For under $20 for a 16oz bottle it’s a great deal.

The recommended dosage is 3 tablespoonfuls, so there was no bloating like I get with other pre-workout shakes. The taste left a little to be desired. It was nothing like I have ever had before. It was kind of like sweet orange syrup, but not in a good way.

Not only does Twinlab Amino Fuel contain essential amino acids that helped in my recovery, it also contains B vitamins which gave me a nice boost before my workout.

I have been using Twinlab Amino Fuel Liquid for about a month now and have noticed a difference in strength. To be honest I am not sure if it is to do with this product or not. I belive it is to do with this product and you can’t beat the price. So if you are lifting heavy and need some extra amino acids, then I suggest giving this a try

Last spring during my cutting phase I decided to give hydroxycut hardcore a shot. It generally takes me longer to cut due to my hatred of cardio and the many reasons I find to not do it. I figured every little bit would help right? Yes indeed, it did help.

I do have say that I followed the directions exactly and still ended up feeling jittery. I have read some other reviews of people complaining of headache too. I do suggest sticking to their chart.

Day 1 to Day 3 1 capsule, 2x daily

Day 4 to Day 7 2 capsule, 2x daily

Day 8 & beyond 3 capsule, 2x daily

Although it did give me the jitters at first, I loved the energy. I was more alert and more focused all throughout the day. I even liked my cardio a little better to if you can believe that. I found myself eating less and had to make sure that I was still eating every couple of hours because of the decrease in hunger.

Hydroxycut Hardcore claims that it has been clinically proven to decrease body fat by 7.9% and increase norepinephrine (NE), the body’s key fat-burning hormone, by up to 40%. This I am not sure about. But what I do know is that it controlled my hunger and gave me the energy and focus to really make my last cut a successful one.

Ok, to be honest, the first reason I was interested in trying Optimum 100% Whey Protein was the fact that they had 16 flavors to choose from. Flavors include Banana Cream, Caramel Toffee Fudge, Chocolate Malt, and Chocolate Mint just to name a few. Now I have not tried all 16 flavors, but the one’s that I have tried (Chocolate Malt and Extreme Milk Chocolate) really tasted great.

The next thing I am generally concerned with in a whey protein is the texture. How well does it mix? It did very well in this category also. In my spoon test, then later, the shake test, the 100% whey protein gold standard left behind only a small trace of clumps and in my opinion was very drinkable. With a small amount of mixing in a hand blender, there was no trace of clumping at all.

The next big thing on my list is price. The gold standard whey protein did fall a little short price wise when compared to others, but for me it was well worth the price. The above two reasons sold me in the first place and there wasn’t anything with the Optimum Whey Protein nutrition wise that would steer me away from it either (It is low in both fat and sugar).

Overall I have to say this is one of the best protein powders that I have ever tried and if you are looking for a great tasting, high quality protein mix, then I highly recommend Optimum 100% Whey Protein.

Ok, first thing I will bring up with BSN NO-Xplode is the taste. Personally I find it to be a bit sweet. I tried the fruit punch and it was good, but a bit overpowering. If you are looking for a weaker tasting more tolerable flavor I would suggest the orange as it was the easiest to choke down.

I seem to love everything about all BSN products except for the prices of course. The NO-Xplode is no different. In reading reviews before I tried it I found a ton of positive with only a couple of negative ones, so I had to try it my self. To tell you the truth, I was amazed.

I have been taking it now for a month and have already noticed considerable gains in size, strength and endurance, YES – ALL THREE. The only thing that I am not looking forward to is not taking it. After 12 weeks on then you are supposed to take 4 off as per the directions.

I am very happy to say after trying so many products claiming to do so many things and always coming up short. This one comes through on everything. From the very first day of taking BSN NO-Xplode you will be more focused and ready to tear things up.
